It would have been a surprise to me a decade ago to learn that I would dedicate my life to helping other people heal. I was struggling deeply with anxiety, depression, and obsessive thinking, and these issues of the mind began to take a toll on my physical health. I wasn't sure that I would ever find balance, let alone help others do the same thing. It wasn't until I felt like I'd exhausted all the conventional approaches that I began meditating in 2016. Meditation changed my life. It changed my perspective, gave me a new understanding of myself rooted in deep compassion, and helped me face my fears. While learning to meditate was easy for me, I found that nearly everyone else I knew struggled to sustain a practice. I was ecstatic when I learned how to practice Reiki because it allowed me to transmit the benefits of meditation to other people without requiring anything of them, apart from a willingness to receive. This to me is a beautiful example of the generosity of Life. We will all have challenges, but we don't have to go through them alone.
Today, I am a certified Reiki master and meditation teacher in Quincy, Massachusetts. My practice is informed by strong empathy and non-judgement.
